Security notice: Neptune Cash uses novel cryptography. The design is based on established research and has undergone security reviews, but the implementation has not yet been battle-tested at scale. Only risk funds you can afford to lose.
Step-by-step beginner guide
Download the wallet: Get Neptune Wallet from the official GitHub releases for desktop or Google Play for Android (see below). Only use these official sources.
Create a new wallet: Launch the app and follow the setup wizard to create a new wallet file.
Back up your recovery phrase: Write it down on paper and store it somewhere safe. If you lose this, your funds cannot be recovered.
Get NPT (Neptune Cash): Buy it on an exchange (see below).
Withdraw to your wallet: Always move funds from the exchange to your personal wallet for long-term storage. Exchanges can be hacked or freeze accounts.
Send a small test transaction first: Before sending a large amount, verify everything works with a small test. Mistakes in crypto can be permanent.

Neptune Wallet
A lightweight desktop wallet for everyday NPT use, with a user-friendly interface for sending, receiving, and managing funds.
Neptune Wallet for almost everyone. It runs on Windows, macOS and Linux, it is maintained by the core team, and it needs nothing else installed.
Neptune Wallet Mobile if you want NPT on your phone. It is the only mobile option, built by the community rather than the core team, and it is on Google Play.
Neptune Dashboard only if you run your own node. It is a terminal interface to a running daemon rather than a standalone wallet.
Whichever you choose, the recovery phrase controls your money, not the app. No company holds a copy, so write it down on paper and keep it safe.
Buying NPT
Centralized exchange
SafeTrade
Safetrade.com Inc. is a global cryptocurrency trading platform, founded in 2018 and legally registered in Panama.
Third-party service. Not financial advice. Always verify exchange legitimacy independently. Use at your own risk.
Storing NPT safely
After buying, withdraw your NPT to a personal wallet. Don't leave funds on an exchange long-term.
Use the receiving address from your own wallet app
Check it begins with nolgam1, and double-check the whole address before confirming
Start with a small test withdrawal before moving any real amount
Keep your recovery phrase backed up offline, on paper
Make sure you are buying the right coin. Neptune Cash (NPT) is unrelated to the coin called Neptune (XNT), which has its own wallets and its own tickers. They are not interchangeable, and an address pasted across the two is money gone.
